The next meeting is on Wednesday, February 2, 2011.
The TCAS meeting was called to order at 7:38 P.M. by Richard Hart, Sr., President of TCAS.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Richard Hart, II.
The minutes can be read on the club website, www.tcas.us. They are also emailed to members with email addresses on file on the last Wednesday of the month.
Ray Ayres was to receive a certificate for his Find of the Month, December 2010, but he was not present.
General Notes:
Attendance Members: 41 Guests: 3
Secretary's note for attendance: only 24 people signed in. I will have the sign in sheet on the Finds Table so everyone can easily sign in.
Treasurer's Report: We have approximately $2,000. Dimes are now worth about $2.08.
Secretary's Report: We received two thank you cards for our 2010 TCAS Donations. One was from NANA and the other from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
Club dues are due now - pay by February for a drawing at the March Meeting for free dues!
Happy New Year from the President. The Board remains the same except for the Secretary.
On a much sadder and somber note, it was announced that Mark Person, a long time club member, passed away on December 3, 2010. It was decided to send a card to his family on behave to TCAS. If you would like information on his funeral, ask Mark Holshoe or Richard Hart.
If you have any new ideas for this year or the future, please inform the President, Richard Hart or any board member.
Christmas Party was a success and a good time. It was at the Marsh Landings in Fellsmere. The gift exchange was interesting. Thanks to the generosity of the club, the club picked up the entire bill.
Skip Watson is the Master Hunter for 2010. Congratulations Skip.
At the February meeting there will be voting for the Find of the Year. Bring in your Find of the Month for voting.
Board Members will be meeting at Marty Hufnagel's house on Tuesday, January 11th.
Mark Holshoe was asked to explain the "finds" table.
There was some discussions about the club buying TCAS badge lanyards. Only about 17 members were interested in buying them at $3.00 a piece. Minimum order would be 100. They will not be ordered.
Skip Watson wanted to see how many members would be interested in a hunt up in Daytona Beach. This would be informal and nothing would be planted. This could be a nice day or weekend getaway and who knows what could be found......................
