Treasure Coast Archeological Society Meeting
January 03, 2007
The meeting was called to order by our new club president, Jim Stewart at 7:40 p.m.
Jim led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes were read and Mary McGee, the treasurer, gave a report of the Club’s finances.
We have $3,362.01 in checking and $49.50 in petty cash.
There were 21 members and 6 visitors present. We have six new members. They are:

Ray and Ann Rabener
Ruth Saurer

Terry Weaverling
Randy and Chris White
Jim asked everyone to introduce themselves. Members and visitors gave their names and told everyone which
state they came from and how long they had been a resident of Florida.
Jim said that he would like to have a Club hunt every three (3) months and a road trip every couple of months.
He explained that the road trip and the Club hunts were great ways for the new members to get acquainted.
Jim will have a box at each meeting that will be used for suggestions and questions.
There will be a speaker at the February meeting that will give a talk about the Civil War.
Mitch King talked about the Annual Hunt which will be held on March 10, 2007 at Hobart Park.
He said that the Club would like to buy silver from anyone that will sell some at seven (7) times face value.
Terry Shannon told about his case of rings that he had found last year (2006).
All members are to wear their club shirts at the February meeting for a group picture that will be put on the web site.
Since Jim Stewart found the token last year, he will be responsible for hiding it again this year.
Boundaries for the token hunt are:
N - Sebastian River E - River
S - Rt. 510 W - Rt. 510 & 512
The prize for finding the token is a 20th century coin display donated by Ed Strnad.
