37 Members present and 5 guest present. One guest joined TCAS.

A vote of confidence was taken for the four club Officers: President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. Skip Watson was in charge of the confidence vote as all Officers were outside during any discussions and voting. The vote totals were: 28 Yes 0 No to keep the existing TCAS  Officers.

Richard Hart, TCAS President spoke about the South Brevard Coin Club that is looking for a guest speaker to discuss metal detecting and coin collecting. The one major problem is that they meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. A discussion was held about this and Larry King will talk to Tom Dankowski to see if he could speak to the South Brevard Coin Club.

Richard Hart also talked about the upcoming Minelab & Kellyco Metal Detecting Fun Day which will be on Saturday May 19, 2012 10:00AM to 4:00 PM at the Kellyco store located at 1085 Belle Ave., Winter Springs, Florida 32708. A Minelab E-Trac detector will be given away. Checkout the website: http://www.kellycodetectors.com to read more. The link to the fun day is on the very top red bar and rotates with "The only website hoisted by certified metal detector experts!" Pre-registration is required.

Along with this the  Central Florida Metal Detecting Club is having a hunt. If the club has thirty or more hunters Kellyco will donate a Minelab E-Trac detector to be given away. The hunt will be at Sylan Lake Park, 845 Lake Markham Road, Sanford, FL starting at 8:00 AM. Let's have a good show of support for the Central Florida Metal Detecting Club by TCAS members (wear your TCAS t-shirts and hats).

Richard Hart talked about the TCAS Annual Beach Hunt which was May 5th at Golden Sands Park. We had a very good turnout for this hunt. There were many tokens (painted pennies) along with three much larger tokens plus silver dimes and other coins.

Marty Hufnagel found the Gold token and won a Garrett Pin Pointer.

Phillip Hillrich found both the silver and brass tokens. Sorry Phillip, I did not write down what you won.

Ryan Rathbun found the most regular tokens with 90. Joni Hart was second with 81 followed by Marty Hufnagel with 80.

Mary McGee has reserved December 9, 2012 for the TCAS Christmas Party at Mash Landings in Fellsmere. More to come on this in later months.
