TCAS Monthly Meeting Notes
September 2006
REMINDER: The next meeting is Wednesday, September 6,
2006 at 7:30 p.m. Minutes of The meeting was called to order by club president, Richard
Hart, Sr. at 7:40 p.m.
There were 28 members and 3 guests present. We
received two new members into the club. The guests introduced themselves
to those present.
Mitch King lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes were read.
Richard asked the question, “How many people have been
asked “What does a metal detector find?” Duh!
The Boys and Girls Club will be given money to buy the shed
they need in which to store their athletic equipment. Mary McGee,
Treasurer, will inquire as to what size and the cost of the shed needed.
August 4th is the date of the Fisher‘s sponsored day
camp. There will be a maximum of five children. They will be
meeting at Treasure Shores at 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. The contact person
is Cherith. Phone numbers: 772-633-0235 or 772-589-9875 Skip Huffsmith gave a talk about the effects of what
the millions of dollars beach replenishment project is doing to the life of
the ocean. Skip works on a salvage ship looking for 1715 ship wrecks.
Richard said he wants to have a club hunt. It’s
been decided to have a hunt at Wickham Park on September 16, 2006 at 9:00 a.m.
It was decided to have five hunts in different parts of the park rather than
driving to four other parks.

drinks. Marty Hufnagel will bring doughnuts, Mary McGee will make
the coffee.

bread store on the
southwest corner.
Then go through two more lights which are at:
Stewart Road and
Croton Road
Keep going until you get to the park which will be on your right.
